Who We Are

Tasty Fish Marketing® specializes in marketing, strategy & innovation. We provide experienced, on-demand marketing support to grow established brands and businesses—and to develop and launch new offerings!

We typically support clients in 2 ways:

  1. Doing: Out-of-the-box strategic thinking, planning and doing. This is especially helpful for those craving for more time, fresh ideas, or access to and management of the right resources.
  2. Teaching: Hands-on education and training. This is especially helpful for those craving for more output and self-sufficiency from current employees.

With both services, Tasty Fish Marketing® uses its small company values, big company know-how, and world-class supplier network to help clients identify and articulate objectives, develop and validate winning solutions and commercialize with excellence.

David Birnbaum, principal of Tasty Fish Marketing®, a division of Birnbaum Consulting, LLC, has 20+ years of experience with Fortune 1,000 companies. Category experience includes Household and Personal Care Products, Specialty Health and Nutrition Ingredients, and B2B services in Consumer, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Verticals. David has led brands ranging from ARM & HAMMER® to OXICLEAN® to LYSOL®. His experience ranges from growing existing products and services organically, to creating an innovation team that meets long-term growth objectives.

Specific product areas David has led or supported include Pharmaceutical and Food Ingredients, Household Cleaners, Laundry Detergent, Pet Products, Condoms, Incontinence Products, Small Appliances and Baking Soda. Specific service areas David has led or supported include Social Media services for consumer and pharmaceutical firms, and Access and Reimbursement services for patients and their healthcare providers.

David leverages his background to help clients connect with customers in ways never thought possible, innovate to create meaningful customer experiences, and grow revenue and value.

David’s education includes an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and a BA from Queens College of the City University of New York.
